kVA by UL has applied key concepts of the ISO 26262 standard for connectivity of electronic modules and infotainment systems, such as:
- Integrated Dash Display SoC – kVA by UL provided comprehensive safety support to the development of a system-on-chip (SoC) for integrated interior display functions, including several ASIL B functions for icon display, camera displays, ADAS engagement, etc.
- OTA Connectivity and Autonomous Start – kVA by UL provided consulting for an OEM evaluating over-the air features including vehicle start-up for level 5 autonomous vehicles in the field. Safety and security were both considered.
- Integrated Seat Controller – kVA by UL completed the entire safety functional safety lifecycle for a major tier-1 supplier including development of hardware architectural metrics, software safety analysis, technical safety concept and safety test strategy, and final successful customer safety assessment.
- Trailer Brake Control Safety Work Products – kVA by UL helped a tier-1 supplier develop key safety documentation including Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), FMEDA, and safety concepts for a trailer brake product line.
